Pipes & Drums

We are currently providing instruction with the intent to form a Bagpipe and Drum Band in the Athens, Georgia area.  Another "Learn to Play the Bagpipes" class will begin Monday, September 10, 2007 and will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF) in Watkinsville.  The cost will be $20 for the first 10 week class.  Please call OCAF at (706) 769-4565 to register and make arrangements for your payment.  This class will continue beyond 10 weeks.

Bring a Dunbar regular size practice chanter with a Walsh reed and the "Green" bagpipe tutor book from the College of Piping.  These supplies can be obtained at the "Everything Scottish Shop" in Linville, North Carolina.
